Looking at my long-awaited copy of the piano accompaniment to Phyllis Rowe's wonderful book "Warm-Up & Play" that I got from the Library of Congress. Published in 1974 by Belwin, it is no longer in print, and what a shame! It is a simple book, free of clutter and pretense. On each left-hand page, there are exercises specific to the song on the right-hand page. And the songs; what beautiful songs: a number of Russian pieces (Prokofiev, Rebikov, Shostakovich), and supremely playable.
